So, after searching and searching you've finally found THE makeup artist of you dreams (me, of course)!
We've both come to an understanding of your dream look but how about the other details such as pricing, scheduling and the other important details?
Are you comfortable with a verbal agreement or do you think that a contract is required?
A professional and reliable MUA will always present a contract. The good ones (me again!) are eager to provide you with the best possible service.
A contract will break down all services you are entitled to and MOST importantly, the MUA is contractually obligated to show up!
There are more than just a few brides who have contacted me in a panic because the makeup artist did not show up. Why would they do this? Without the contract, they are not obligated by law to do so.
So remember, it's super important to find a professional MUA who takes the extra steps to provide a smooth and seamless day. That will likely not happen with a Craiglist MUA so do your homework, check references and make sure to sign a contract!
